Congratulations to Auric Saha; Lee County’s 2018 STAR Student! He chose Mr. Robby Davis, as his STAR Teacher. Mr. Davis taught Auric 11th grade AP Language.
The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Education sponsor the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program. Students are selected on the basis of their SAT scores (during one test administration), class standing and scholastic averages.
On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at The Bindery at Oakland Library, Auric and Mr. Davis were honored at the annual “Eggs and Issues” breakfast sponsored by the Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Colony Bank, Griffin Lumber & Hardware, Albany Technical College, and Sumter EMC to celebrate education in the county!
Auric is a senior at Lee County High School and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Arun Saha of Lee County. He plans on attending Georgia Tech University. We are proud of Auric & Mr. Davis and wish them continued success in regional and state competitions and in their future endeavors.
The featured speaker for the event was Dr. Jason Miller, Superintendant, Lee County School System.
