On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Grand Island Golf Club, Trevor Hohorst and Mr. Robby Davis were honored at the quarterly “Eggs and Issues” breakfast sponsored by the Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Darton College and Colony Bank to celebrate education in the county!
Trevor is a senior at Lee County High School and is the son of Lisa and William Hohorst of Lee County. He has plans on visiting a few college campuses in the coming weeks. We are proud of Trevor and Mr. Davis and wish them continued success in regional and state competitions and in their future endeavors.
Our featured speaker for this event was Mrs. Kathy Wooten the Special Education Director with the Lee County Board of Education. Mrs. Wooten addressed the audience on the new PBS (Positive Behavior Support) plan. The Lee County School system was chosen by the Georgia Dept. of Education to pilot this program which assists in developing effective interventions for inappropriate behavior.
